Chas Everitt Ruimsig Agent Scoops Prestigious National Award
Francois du Pisani from Chas Everitt Ruimsig was awarded the inaugural “Rookie of the Year” award by the only independent real estate recognition programme, the Property Professional Awards, held recently at Montecasino in Gauteng. Francois (together with partner Werner Van Schalkwyk) has established himself as a prominent agent in the Ruimsig area and has won a reputation for delivering exceptional service with a strong focus on high quality marketing - particularly in the upmarket lifestyle estates such as Featherbrooke and Ruimsig Country Estate. And Francois was joined by no less than 4 other Chas Everitt colleagues who received awards in various categories on the same night.
Chas Everitt Group MD, Berry Everitt had the following to say about the groups success.
“The positive and proactive manner in which the Chas Everitt team has responded to a tough market, were clearly evident this month at the 12th annual Property Professional Awards function, where the awards – including the many accorded to our agents - were nicely divided between seasoned campaigners and eager newcomers, all of whom are doing excellent business as the market recovers.”
Among the most experienced industry members to be honoured was Andre de Villiers, national marketing manager of Chas Everitt International and owner of three group franchises in Cape Town, who was named as one of the real estate industry’s top Movers & Shakers.
“Andre is a tower of strength in our business,” says Everitt. “He was instrumental in launching Chas Everitt International in Cape Town in 2003, he has been responsible for many of the marketing and technology initiatives that have made the group so successful, and he now also runs Chas Everitt Overseas Properties, which offers properties abroad for SA investors.
“Then at the other end of the experience scale, we have Francois du Pisani, who came into the industry with such gusto that he sold R28m worth of property within six months of joining our Ruimsig operation, and walked off at the Property Professional Awards with the inaugural Rookie of the Year trophy.”
Also honoured at the awards, he notes, were Zakes and Phiwe Myeza, “who were brave enough to acquire our Midrand franchise in the depths of the recession – and have never looked back.
“With their unwavering focus on recruiting the right agents, continuous training and skills improvement, and strong service ethic, they have within two years built their agency into a powerhouse that is also responsible for empowering many agents, clients and members of the community and they are really deserving winners of their Young Lions award.”
The group is also very proud, Everitt says, of Annette Rautenbach from the Chas Everitt West Rand operation, another long-time devotee of real estate, who was one of 13 finalists for the Property Professional of the Year award. “Annette has a history of outstanding performance and a well-served reputation for excellent service and she has already won more than 100 awards as a top agent in our group.”
The Property Professional Awards committee, he notes, recognises and rewards estate agents nationally across the various brand denominations. “It is an independent forum of peers and competitors in the real estate industry and it is thus always gratifying when our agents are recognised as top performers.”
